Best way to explore Singapore Aiport in the transit time

You are most likely to land at Singapore Changi Airport if flying Singapore Airlines, Singapore Airlines Cargo, SilkAir, Scoot, Tigerair and Jetstar Asia Airways as its their home base. Currently, as per Skytrax, the Singapore Changi Airport is ranked number 1, consistently from 2013. Having visited airport multiple times, I truly feel, the airport deserves to be ranked  first. So what to do if you have plethora of time to spend ? Worry not! Here I recommend the things to do at airport. If visiting for long duration at Singapore, check out Touristy places to Visit.

1)Transit Time <  6 hours

You can visit any of the following or all depending on how long you spend at each place and how long is your transit time.

a)Xperience Zone  - FREE

The HD display of fascinating nature coupled with single coupe type seats at the Entertainment deck is not to be missed. (The seats are subject to availability as the odds of finding one is rare).  Else relax at the comfortable seats at the Entertainment Lounge or game on with XBOX KINECT.

b)Gardens  - FREE

To relax and rejuvenate, can visit many natural and artificial trails in the airport. Visit the world's first Butterfly Garden at airport, Cactus Garden, Enchanted Garden, Orchid Garden, Koi Pond and Sunflower Garden. The Sunflower Garden offers a vantage point to view the planes, landing and take off.

e)Playground - FREE

No, I am not joking. You do have a children playground and I guess only children can use the facilities. Can also visit Interactive Art which has Woodblock rubbing, a popular Singapore artform.

f)Spa - PAID

Centers like MY FOOT REFLEXOLOGY, Fish Spa & Reflexology , Hair and Beauty service, offer therapeutic massages/beautification. If need a shower, head to Shower facilities lounge.

g)Shopping/Sleeping

You might need a day to explore all the shops in the airport. So much is the heterogeneity. If shopping, can check the list.  After all the activities, still there is some time? Catch a nap at one of the Resting Areas.  Some are free, while others charged. Be sure to keep an alarm!

2)Transit Time > 6 hours

If you hold a Singapore Visa, you can venture out of the airport and can drift around some places like China Town, Raffles city mall and head back to  airport. There is MRT(Singapore Metro) connectivity from the airport itself. Other option is to sign up for Free Singapore Tour. Its a 2 hour tour and you get a glimpse of the city.

Free Singapore Tour

If not holding Singapore visa, can check with Free Singapore Tour organizing folks whether its possible for you to register for it. If holding a US visa, you have high chances of getting transit visa. Again, this depends on your luck and Immigration officer. If you don't get a visa, God forbid, you always have an option to explore the above options at the airport itself which will need significant time.

The WIFI at Changi Airport may not work for all, as OTP is sent to mobile phone via SMS. If no international roaming, no way to get access to Wifi. The internet stations are spread out which can be used to browse.

Other options include checking to Transit hotels or rooftop swimming pools. If flying in Singapore Airlines, SilkAir or Air New Zealand, you are also eligible for Changi Transit Programme , where you will get Gift Voucher, which can be redeemed at the airport.

With so many facilities available, no wonder, its been ranked first consistently.  I doubt anyone will contradict this. Is there anyone?
